***Make sure you have your music turned up - I Love You Sister Sue!***
My baby sister, Kristen Sue, celebrated her 27th birthday on Monday the 9th. Mother, Caroline, and I headed up to Marietta, GA on Monday morning in order to be there when Kristen got off work to help her celebrate the big day since her husband Josh was in Vermont (he is getting his Masters from Norwich University and he had to go up there for a presentation).
We left it up to Sue to decide where to go for supper...there are sooo many places to choose from in Marietta (especially when all we have to choose from here in Andalusia are David's and Old Mexico)!!! When she said she wanted to go to "Thaicoon and Sushi Bar", Mother and I were pumped because we have had our taste buds craving sushi ever since we ate at Osaka in Destin with Kristen Michelle while on our beach trip.
After trying five or six different kinds of sushi, yes we even ate the raw fish on some, we went across the street to "Sweet Treats". We each got a cup of ice cream and headed back to the middle of the square in order for Caroline to play on the train and run off some of that bottled up energy!!! As you can see in the pictures above, Caroline and her Aunt Kristen Sue really had a good time catching up on their play time.
We had a great time and thanks to Kristen Sue for being such a great hostess. We love you and wish you and Josh lived closer so that we could "play" more often!!!
PS If you ever go to Marietta, make sure you visit their town square - I wish Andalusia's City Council and citizens had this vision for our square. It is so quaint and a great place for the family to go hang out. All of the old buildings surrounding the square have shops, antique stores, restaurants, bakeries, etc. filling them. The actual square has big oak trees shading it, a large fountain, a stage for small concerts (like Music Around Town), and a play area for children (that is where the pictures of Kristen and Caroline were taken). You can get a taste of what it is like by going here and look at the pictures.

WOW! I haven't seen that pretty face in ages. She is still just as pretty as ever. It is hard to believe she is 27 though. Tell your mom all of her babies have officially grown up. It's a good thing you all have had her some new babies to love on!
ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Kristen!! Dave and I are seriously going to plan a trip to visit ya'll.
ReplyDeleteFun, I'm going with y'all next time! Sushi, YUM!!!
