ollie's army

Most of you know my precious friend Lynsey and her husband John. For those of you who don't, they have a beautiful baby girl that was born to them on May 4 and just a few short weeks later it was confirmed to Lynsey and John that their little Ollie Pearl has cystic fibrosis.

Instead of being bitter and wondering "why us?", they have been very strong and jumped at the chance to do their part in finding a cure for this disease. These new parents have formed a team named "Ollie's Army" that consists of MANY friends and family members. Each team member has set an individual goal of $150 and in October those who can will be in Crestview, FL for a walk-a-thon to raise money for CF research and care.

I know a lot of you that read this blog are already involved and I encourage you to make every effort to meet your goal (or even better, go OVER) and be in Crestview to show your support for this cause, Ollie, Lynsey, and John on October 3. And for those of you that want to help but can't join the walk for one reason or the other, just click the Great Strides link on my sidebar and make your donation there. $150 is the goal set there, but anything over will be greatly appreciated by this team and everyone affected by CF.
