For those of you that know Jason and Carrie (Smith) Fore, she went to her OBGYN yesterday with her high BP problems...something she has been dealing with for a few weeks now. They admitted her @ Flowers and then transferred her on to Sacred Heart in Pensacola thinking her water had broken late last night. This is an update Lori our at 1:43am:
Good news! Good news!
After some testing, they have found that Carrie's water did NOT break!! This is great news. Her blood pressure is currently down to 155/88. This is great too since it has been as high as 230/1something. They now think that Ella could wait several weeks to be born. YAY!! If she were born tonight, her survival rate would be 70 percent. If she can wait until 28 weeks which is one week from Saturday (10 days from now) her percentage goes up to 95. That is the goal right now. When we get to 28 weeks, we'll set a new goal. We are all very happy right now with this news!! Answered prayer all over here!
Carrie is tired and they are giving her meds that are supposed to make her feel like she had the flu, but so far she has not felt that bad with it so that's more good news. Jason is feeling much better with this better news.
She will still probably be here until she has Ella but there has been a little (very little) talk of her going home if her blood pressure comes way down. Nobody is as excited about that as Carrie. She would LOVE to go home but we all feel pretty good with her being here:)
Me or Lori will try to keep you updated, but in the meantime please remember Jason, Carrie, and Baby Ella in your prayers...THANKS!!!
